Under the Circumstances?
Or Over the Circumstances?
Circumstances, just circumstances
Circumstances are just that, circumstances. They do not define life. They don’t limit your spiritual growth. They don’t identify you.
I have discovered they need not determine my peace and joy. They need not affect any aspect of my life in God. I’ve learned that God knows my circumstances. I’ve also learned that He is bigger than my circumstances. I can trust Him.
The state of our culture, the unease we feel in public life, the sense of things going terribly wrong must not affect our relationship with God. And they need not. It is our choice. When God moves into a place of prominence in our focus, everything else will be seen in the right perspective.
God wants us to know we live inside His love. Living in a bubble of His love keeps circumstances of life from affecting me in any way. For good or bad. They are outside of the real me. Outside of my spirit and soul.
Nothing can separate me from the love of God.
I know, I know. We’ve heard those words before, yet do we believe them? You know what it is like to believe that God loves you, right? Do you live like it is true? Do you personally know He loves you?
Life changes the moment you know it, when it becomes more than head knowledge. When it moves from head to heart. When God reveals His love to you, specifically, life changes. When it moves from belief to knowledge. That is the most important knowledge you can have. Ever.
Living in His love keeps us above our circumstances. What did Apostle Paul tell the believers in Ephesus? In our spirit, we are seated in the heavenlies with Jesus Christ.
Loving God, may we be very aware of our life in You that lifts us above our circumstances. Amen.
Words to light your path this week. Meditate on one each day. Let it transform your life.
