Divine Energy
Divine energy is power straight from the creator Himself. Not Him helping us. Not Him making us feel powerful. A day-by-day constant source of power enabling us to live with peace and trust where He has placed us. A stepping aside to let Him have an opportunity to express Himself through us in every situation, big or mundane by His resurrection power.
Divine energy source
Romans 8:11 The power/energy that raised Jesus from the dead is for the child of God. Those who have been born again have received that same power. When we receive Christ, we receive the power that raised Him. His Spirit lives in our spirit. Think of that for a while. The power that it takes to raise a person from the dead, resurrection power, is in a child of God. It is not available to those who are not born again, but it is to those who have the right to be called a child of God.
1 John 5:12 He that has received the Son has Life. It is a life beyond our human life. It is resurrected Life. Those who do not have the Son have not life, or they have death. That is what happened in the Garden of Eden. Cut off, Adam and Eve lived under the power of death. Death entered through Adam and so is passed down to all humans. Death reigns in the world. We see evidence of it everywhere.
But the gift of righteousness brings Life through one man, Jesus Christ. His resurrected Life becomes ours, not just after we leave this earth, but now in everyday life.
“The point of Christ’s resurrection from the tomb was not that He rose from the dead. but that Another raised Him…and so it is in our co-resurrection with Him. Another within us is the resurrection life.”
The Liberating Secret, Norman P. Grubb, Zerubbabel Press 2010, p. 102
Divine energy for every part of life
2 Peter 1:3-4 His divine power has given us all we need to live a godly life without strain. He gave us promises that we would partake of His divine nature. That is a resurrected life. Every part of our life from paying bills, changing a tire, mowing the lawn, doing dishes to having a disagreement with our spouse. The mundane moments in our every day can seem unimportant, but that is where we need the resurrection power the most. They make up nearly all of our days, don’t they? That is where God wants to shine through us. Resurrection power!
Divine energy always
2 Corinthians 2:14 It is for us always. Always causing us to win over evil. Always. Always triumph. Always win. It is His promise.
“Do you know, there are resources enough in your own heart to meet the demand of every circumstance in which you will ever find yourself? You who have been born again of the Spirit of God—you carry God in your heart.”
Normal Christian Life, Watchman Nee, Tyndale House Publishers, 1977, pg. 141

1 John 5:4 For everyone who has been born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world–our faith. ESV
Let’s believe what the Bible says about our new life. We live by resurrected power!
Let’s act like it is true. Take one verse each day and act like it is true. It will go against the grain so to speak, it will seem like we are pretending, but in reality, we are retraining our brain, our computer. We want our default setting to be transformed into one of faith.
Next week we will back up a step and explore the basis for this resurrected life.
Words to light your path
Romans 8:11 If the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit who dwells in you. ESV
1 John 5:12 Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life. ESV
Romans 5:10 For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, now that we are reconciled, shall we be saved by his life. ESV
Romans 5:17 For if, because of one man’s trespass, death reigned through that one man, much more will those who receive the abundance of grace and the free gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man Jesus Christ. ESV
2 Peter 1:3-4 as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue, by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. NKJV
2 Corinthians 2:14 Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place. NKJV
Gracious Powerful Father, You raised Your Son from the dead that morning some 2000 years ago. That same power raises us to new life. Help us to see what that means as we walk with You. Help us by faith to access that power in our everyday ordinary lives. Amen.
