Admiring Deity

Do we really admire God? What do we admire about Him? We can’t admire or adore God if we don’t have reason. Only the Holy Spirit can open our eyes to see God’s beauty.

We worship out of obligation, because we feel we should. Real worship is a feeling expressed. Otherwise it is empty. Just rhetoric.

We attend our worship service but are still unimpressed. Why? O come let us adore Him. How? Why?

An encounter is what we need.

O Holy Spirit, show us His Majesty..

Let’s ask the Holy Spirit to open our eyes and show us His majesty. We need to be duly impressed or our worship is just rhetoric. Empty. Only He can help us see correctly. It is His job to reveal Jesus to us so we can properly worship Him.

O Come Let Us Adore Him! Adore – To admire, feel awe and real respect. To worship and honor.

When we take time to consider where God is, where Jesus came from by looking up at the sky, we wonder how it all happened. It has got to be more than words.

If we would take only 5 whole minutes to contemplate Him. Each day. I think we would begin to change when we give the Holy Spirit time to speak to us. It doesn’t happen as a side process while we rush through our day. We must take time, at least a few minutes.

O Holy Spirit, enlighten the eyes of our spirit. Show us the majesty of God that we might worship Him in a way that pleases God.  Amen

Psalm 34:1-3 I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth. My soul shall make its boast in the Lord; The humble shall hear of it and be glad. Oh, magnify the Lord with me, And let us exalt His name together. NKJV

Psalms 19:1 The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky above proclaims his handiwork. ESV
