Your Presence, O God
We are privileged to live in Your presence, O God.
I want to try to picture it, maybe like a fog. If the fog was blue, we would be surrounded by blue fog. It would fill the room we are in.
May each of us sense Your presence surrounding us, swirling around us as we go about our lives. May we always be aware of You in our cars, in our homes, at our place of work. As we perform our jobs, take out the garbage, or cook supper, I pray that we are always aware of Your presence.
You never leave us but we tend to abandon You to do life. We seem to compartmentalize our spiritual lives from everyday life. That is not Your plan.
Whether or not we realize it You are always with us. I want to make an effort to remember that reality. You allow us to carry our own atmosphere surrounded by Your Holy Spirit.
We, Your people, are most privileged for You are always with us. Amen
Words to light your path this week
Psalms 139:7-10
Whither shall I go from thy Spirit? and whither flee from thy presence? If I ascend up into the heavens thou art there; or if I make my bed in Sheol, behold, thou art there; If I take the wings of the dawn and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea, Even there shall thy hand lead me, and thy right hand shall hold me.
John 14:23
Jesus answered and said to him, If any one love me, he will keep my word, and my Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our abode with him.
