Believer’s Priority
First things first. Seek God’s kingdom and His righteousness first. Why? Why not our concerns first? It is a law or principle of the kingdom of heaven. It is putting Him first that brings peace and joy whatever is going on around us.
What He was saying was don’t let your life be your chief concern. Don’t let your child’s life be your chief concern. Don’t let tomorrow be your chief concern. Don’t worry.
He’s saying that we are part of His kingdom every minute of our lives. He wants us to participate in it fully, to be busy furthering His kingdom, to be spreading the gospel message, and to be ambassadors of that kingdom. That is who we are. Let’s participate in that fully and He will take care of all else.
We are encouraged to keep our eyes on Jesus. You know, our spiritual eyes. Focused on Him all the time. Whatever we are doing, keeping our inner focus on Him will carry us through our day. Armed with the knowledge that we are a representative of the kingdom of God, let’s do the dishes, take care of a fussy child, hammer that nail, work with clients, do grocery shopping (ugh, right?). Whatever job we have, first and foremost we are to always be mindful that we are His, part of His kingdom and so let’s be mindful of living in and promoting that kingdom in our home and outside our home.
Kingdom people
Our lives can be so busy, that we often forget whose we are. But, if we live fully in His kingdom and make it the basis of who we are, He will take care of our needs, including the needs of our family.
Seek Him first. Seek His concerns first. Not to the exclusion of your concerns, but just put His first. Let your priority be to seek His kingdom.
Bold Faith
It might seem like crazy faith. Be bold. Be audacious. Take Him at His word. Choose to believe Him. Choose to participate fully in His kingdom. Choose to seek His kingdom and His righteousness first.

Heavenly Father, help us not to hesitate to come to You with our cares but help us to seek Your kingdom first. May we trust You with our lives and the lives of those we love.
