Joyful Life!
The life of a Christian is not a difficult life, full of fighting off temptations, being holy, or required obedience.
Joyful trusting
Rather it is a life of joyful abandonment to God surrendering the control of our life to Him.
- Trusting Him for the outcome of our life.
- Trusting Him for our future, our tomorrow, our next month, our next year. See Matthew 6:25-34
- Trusting Him to provide the friends we need, the finances we need, jobs we need.
- Trusting Him to provide the ability to live joyfully for Him.
Joy when few want God
Even while going through difficult times in this world that wants less and less to do with God, we can have an inner joy knowing He is our God and has our best interests in mind; He loves us. In times of difficulty, we have an opportunity to let God shine as our God.
It is a blessed life. What does blessed mean? It means fortunate, happy. We are happy all day long as we live under the smile of our God. Nothing can touch the inner man, our spirit.
God lifts us up all day long and in His care we can dance through life.
What is joy?
Joy is knowing that we can trust him with our very life. When we catch a glimpse of how much He loves us, we can joyfully abandon control of our life and surrender it to Him. We can live a blessed life.
Words to light your path-
- Psalm 31:14 But as for me, I trust in You, O Lord; I say, “You are my God.” My times are in Your hand. NKJV
- Matthew 6:33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. NKJV
- John 15:9 As the Father loved Me, I also have loved you; abide in My love. NKJV
- Philippians 4:19 And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. NKJV
- Psalm 89:15 Blessed are the people who know the joyful sound! They walk, O Lord, in the light of Your countenance.
- Psalm 89:16 In Your name they rejoice all day long, and in Your righteousness they are exalted.
Remember – take one of the above passages and meditate on it for a whole day. Let it sink down in your spirit and take root.
Father God, You mean for us to live with joy. Jesus said He wanted our joy to be full. It is only as we relinquish control of our lives that we can learn how much You love us.
