God of the Old Testament – What We Learn in Psalms

Psalm 8 – The glory of God in the created universe
Psalm 19 – God is revealed in nature all around us; His word is described
Psalm 22 – Describes the crucifixion of Jesus
Psalm 23 – Who could do with out this psalm?
Psalm 40 – It is God who rescues us from the pit of sin
Psalm 51 – It is God we sin against when we chose to sin
Psalm 62 – This psalm teaches us to wait patiently for God’s help
Psalm 78 – God’s continued kindness to rebellious people
Psalm 91 – Safety in God’s presence
Psalm 119 – God’s everlasting word
Psalm 127 – Answer to worry
Psalm 139 – Description of how wonderfully we are made in the womb
Psalms 145-150 – Encourages us to praise God for He is worthy
