Receiving salvation is what this new life is all about. Did you know it is all about receiving, not doing? What have you received from God?

It is all about recognizing our needy state, our inability to earn God’s approval and placing our faith in what Jesus has done for us.

It is not our attempts to reconcile ourselves to God, but it is Christ Jesus reconciling us to God through His death on the cross.

“But as many, as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God.”  John 1:12 NKJV

Receive His gift of life

Without Him, we are spiritually dead, cut off from God.

He came that we might have life. “He who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life.” John 5:24 NKJV

“…that they may receive forgiveness of sins…Acts 26:18 NKJV His forgiveness has no limits. It is more than enough for anyone no matter the sin. Have you received forgiveness?

What have you received from God?

Have you received anything from God, or are you still trying to earn your way into His good graces?

It cannot be earned. It can only be received. Open your life and heart to receive from God. He wants to give. He is not a stingy, reluctant giver. Oh, no. He is full of compassion, mercy, and love for you. Yes, you. Ponder that for a while. Let it sink into your soul. It is the ultimate truth.

He knows the extent of your sinful nature and yet has loved you with an everlasting love. He offers you forgiveness and life. A life lived with His friendship.

Salvation is all about receiving

We cannot give anything. We cannot earn anything. We can only receive it. Allow God to come in and live in you, transforming you into His image. Giving you His life. Making you one with your creator. That is the place of true joy. To be one with the One who created you. Nothing else on earth, nor anyone else can fill that need in each of us.

So uncross your arms and receive forgiveness and a new life. Welcome Him into your life.

Dear Heavenly Father, we recognize our desperate need of You, Your acceptance, and Your forgiveness. We receive Your gift of life through the death of Your Son, Jesus Christ. We place our complete trust and faith in Your Son and His death on the cross. We receive Your gift of forgiveness and new life. Thank You so much.
