Hebrews 13:5 For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” So we may boldly say: The Lord is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?”

Jesus said I will never leave you alone nor forsake you. Never.

This doesn’t mean that He will never be unavailable to us.

It doesn’t mean He is just a prayer away.

It means that He is with us at all times.

Times when:

• We are doing dishes
• The phone rings with an unknown number
• We sit down to a meal
• We are driving to work
• We sleep
• We don’t sleep
• We receive bad news about our health
• We lose a loved one
• We see our country getting more and more ungodly
• We get a flat tire
• Everything is going great
• We are having a conversation
• We are disappointed in someone
• We think He is far away and we are in a dark place

He cannot lie. He speaks the truth. This is a promise directly from Him. Why? Because He knew…

He knew we would feel alone. He knew we would feel overwhelmed. He knew we would be afraid.

He knew life would be difficult at times. He knew our culture would change. He knew there would be times and places where it would not be safe to be His follower.

If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him. John 14:23 NKJV
