Do you want God’s approval? You know He is the supreme creator of the universe, and He created in our DNA the need for His approval. Wouldn’t it be nice to know that He approves of you?  To be accepted by Him? Would you like the right to be called His child? 

Good news! There is a way.

Although God has created every person, not all are His children. Not all have that right to be called His child.

So how do we obtain that right to be called His child?

Do we have to earn it? Are there five steps to gain His approval?

God has made a way that is fair. Whether you are a strong or weak person, good or bad, privileged or underprivileged all come the same way. There is one way.

In John 14:6 Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”

If reconciliation were earned, then it wouldn’t be fair, because some can accomplish much, while others struggle to accomplish a little. No, it is not earned lest we should boast.

It is a gift. Simple as that. A gift.

God sent His Son into the world for the only purpose of living a perfect life, then becoming a perfect sacrifice for our sins. He who knew no sin became sin for us that we might be made right in God’s sight.

Is it any wonder that God the Father looked away from His Son on the cross? Jesus had taken all the sins of every person and our sinful nature that it might be done away with. 2 Corinthians 5:21 says, “For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.”NKJV

“In Him, we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins…” Ephesians 1:7 NKJV

What do we need to do? Receive Him.

For some reason most reject Him. I believe it is for the same reason Adam and Eve ate of the tree that was forbidden. They wanted to live independently of God. Although they lived in a paradise, they wanted independence.

But, according to John 1:12 those who receive Him as their only hope of being made right with God have the right to be called His children. In Him, we have redemption and forgiveness of sins. 

It does not matter how bad or good we are. It matters only if we have received Him as our life. Jesus said to a very good man, “You must be born again.” John 3:7 NKJV

That is, he must allow the life of God to be placed within him as he believes on Jesus Christ. His spirit is then made alive to the Spirit of God.

When we truly accept Christ then we are reconciled to God. We are forgiven and accepted. We have God’s approval. We have a new life.

The rift is gone. The huge gulf that separated us from God is gone.

Jesus is the way the truth and the life. He is the only way to the Father. Pray the prayer of salvation and accept His life into you. You will know that you are accepted and approved by God. What a good feeling!!

Lord God, you have created in us, in our very DNA, a need for You, our creator. Nothing else will satisfy that need. We need and want Your approval. Help each of us to come personally to You to receive Your gift of life.

Ephesians 2: 8-9 “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.” NKJV

John 1:12 “But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name, who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.” NKJV
